Previsouly on RHVAA News..

Due to the importance of the issue, the news from March has been retained below.

Here We Go Again...

Folks, I'll keep this brief. The County Board of Supervisors want to close RHV, lease or sell the land, and balance their budget. They are voting on a measure to investigate the possibilities on Tuesday March 18th. We expect the measure to pass since it's just an "investigation". However, they have fast-tracked this and want the issue resolved by the end of the year. There are two sups that would like to put "solved Santa Clara budget problem" on their resume. So to address this:

  1. The RHVAA has an emergency meeting tomorrow, Monday March 17 from 6 to 10p. We're keeping the time open so folks can drop in as their schedules allow. We are encouraging everyone to renew (or join) their membership ($25) and contribute to the CRAMP PAC.
  2. Go to the Mercury News forum and vote for RHV!
  3. Join the Silicon Valley GA group by sending a message to siliconvalleyga-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
  4. Talk to your neighbors, friends, church groups, home owners associations, etc. about how important the airport is to the community. We will have some things to hand out at the meeting and regular updates via SVGA. Now, more then ever, we need to be organized and committed if we want to save our airport!
