The association has three objectives:
- To foster good relations with the communities surrounding the airport.
- To inform and educate members on issues affecting airport operations and safety.
- To keep Reid-Hillview open!
Reid-Hillview Airport Day
Reid-Hillview Airport Day invites the airport’s neighbors to see airport operations at first hand, and to experience the joy of flight. We use this event to educate and to share our passion for aviation. Various organizations and vendors operate booths. The Tuskegee Airmen provide a good example, with representatives on hand to educate the public on the contribution of African American military airmen during and after WWII.
Money raised from Airport Day, plus membership dues, are used to fund a variety of scholarships and other causes, mostly in the local community.
